In late 2008, Kimberly completed one of her biggest art projects to date. She water gilded (ancient technique of gold leafing) a fifteen-foot frame for Saint Peter's Catholic Church of Charlotte, North Carolina. The frame was designed by John Collier and constructed by Heritage Woodcraft of Salem, Oregon. It features a painting by John Collier. The photos below will give readers a little bit of an idea of what was involved in this project. It was a lot of work!
This is the finished frame placed inside St. Peter's church. The painting, bas-reliefs, and tabernacle are the work of John Collier.
